This is a nice copy of the 1954 edition of Hamilton Basso's novel The View from Pompey's Head, published by Doubleday & Company. The owner's name is inscribed on the front inside and dated 3/22/55.
This book was adapted to the screen in 1955, starring Richard Egan & Dana Wynter, directed by Phillip Dunne, the twice Oscar nominated director.
